Embed Images

Let's use an appropriated image using Google Image Search. Open your browser and go to Google.com. Click the 'images' option, and search for an image of the earth, for example. Notice that in the results window for your search, the size of the images are noted in pixels. Find one that is approximately 400 pixels wide and/or tall, and click it. In the next window, click 'See Full Size Image'.

Control-Click the image and choose 'Save Image As' from the popup menu. Choose your root folder as the save location. You can change the name of the file, but do NOT change the file type (the suffix at the end of the file name, example: earth.jpg)

Now return to Dreamweaver. Open the homepage (index.htm), and in Design View, click inside the body of the document. From the 'Insert' drop-down menu, choose 'Insert Image'. Select the image file from your root folder and click 'Choose'.
